End-February, foreign exchange reserves of the National Bank of Romania stood at EUR25.917 billion.

The central bank said foreign-exchange inflows were EUR3.519 billion in March, while outflows totaled EUR4.315 billion.

In addition to its foreign-exchange reserves, the central bank reported holdings of 103.7 metric tons of gold, with a total market value of EUR2.305 billion.

Thus, the international reserves of Romania (foreign currencies and gold) at end-March stood at EUR27.426 billion.

In April 2009, the payments due on public and publicly guaranteed external debt amount to EUR85 million.
