Romania's Gov Searches Solutions For VAT Reimbursement - Fin Min
The Romanian government will work on the negative deduction of the value added tax VAT, the Finance Minister Gheorghe Pogea said Tuesday, adding that it is unacceptable for the private companies to finance the state.
The Romanian state has better financing opportunities, Pogea said at the seminar "Mediafax Talks about Business Solutions to Crisis" organized by Mediafax.
Mid-March, Pogea said the finance ministry plans to reimburse the delayed VAT by the end of 2009’s first half.
He said the state owes 1.5 billion lei (EUR1=RON4.2348) to private companies as non-reimbursed VAT.
