Romanian Railway Co CFR Calatori Buys RON43M Diesel Oil From Oscar Downstream

Romania’s state-owned passenger railway company CFR Calatori bought Monday 20,000 tons of Euro 5 diesel oil from Romanian oil trader Oscar Downstream, for 43.2 million lei (EUR1=RON4.2348), in an auction organized at Romanian Commodities Stock Exchange BRM

The diesel oil, whose acquisition price of RON2,162 per ton does not include excise duties and value-added tax, will be delivered to CFR between April 15 and July 30.

During 2000-2009, CFR Calatori carried out acquisitions worth RON1.4 billion through Romanian Commodities Stock Exchange, being one of the bourse’s most important clients.

BRM was established in 1992.

Oscar Downstream is majority-owned by local businessman Alin Niculae.
