2019 Budget Not Featured On Friday’s Cabinet Meeting Agenda
Romania’s Government published on Thursday afternoon the agenda for Friday’s cabinet meeting, which does not include the 2019 budget project, despite assurances from PM Viorica Dancila on Wednesday that there is “no danger” for the act to be delayed again.

Among the subjects present on the agenda of Friday’s meeting are several foregin agreements, including one with the US regarding a closer cooperation in preventing and fighting serious offences and one with Iran on fighting international organized criminality and terrorism.
The budget could still be added on the meeting’s supplemental agenda.
Thursday marked the fourth consecutive days of talks regarding the budget draft, as Finance Minister Eugen Teodorovici met with Bucharest Mayor Gabriela Firea in what the latter deemed a “failed” meeting, while ruling coalition leaders Liviu Dragnea and Calin Popescu Tariceanu held talks at the Parliament.
Both Liviu Dragnea and Prime Minister Viorica Dancila said on Wednesday evening that the budget is set to be passed during Friday’s meeting, following two months of delays.
