22.79 % Of Romanians Vote In Referendum By GMT 16:00

In urban areas, 18.87 % of people exercised their right to vote while in rural areas the percentage rose to 28.20 % .

In 26 counties turnout at voting sections rose above the national average. Among those counties are Covasna- 29.07 %, Vrancea – 29.02 %,Vaslui – 28.68 %, Neamţ – 27.54 %, Teleorman – 27.05 %.

Bucharest 15,.90 %, Prahova – 18.90%, Timiş – 19.52%, Ilfov – 19.57%, Argeş – 20.15% were the areas with the lowest turnout.
