The first online DDoS (Denial of Service) attack took place on April 8 and was aimed at blocking the Moldovan presidency’s database resources, the statement noted.

Inquiries showed the attack was organized by one or more hackers via a “botnet” network.

On April 10, the Moldovan presidency computers was targeted by a second attack, which the Center pinpointed to an IP address registered in Romanian capital Bucharest

The attack consisted in sending a huge volume of 3.5 million connection requests.
