A 4.2 Richter quake in Romania

An earthquake with a 4.2 magnitude on the Richter scale has occurred on Thursday in Dâmboviţa county, the National Institute of Research and Development for Geophysics has announced.

According to the INCDFP, the earthquake took place at 13.51, in the seismic zone Făgăraş-Câmpulung, in Dâmboviţa county.

The quake had a magnitude of 4.2 degrees on the Richter scale and occurred at a depth of 60 kilometers.

The earthquake took place near the cities of Braşov, Ploieşti, Piteşti, Bucharest and Sibiu.
