About 70% Of Bucharest Holiday Market Fair Visitors Bought Holiday Packs Abroad
About 70% of tourists who bought holiday packs at the Holiday Market tourism fair, which took place between March 17 and 20 in Bucharest, chose foreign destinations, Romania’s National Agency of Tour Operators (ANAT) said in a press release Monday.

According to ANAT, compared to the first edition of the fair, which took place in 2010, tour operators registered a 15-20% increase in tourist pack sales, which stood at about EUR600,000.
About 65% of tourists were ready to spend between EUR350 and EUR650 on a holiday package and 20% of them were willing to pay between EUR650 and EUR1,000, said ANAT.
The fair had about 20,000 visitors, up 10% compared to last year.
At the first edition of the fair, tour operators sold vacation packages of about EUR500,000.
The Holiday Market fair brought together 120 participants, among which tour operators from Romania, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Malta, Indonesia, Israel and Turkey, local tourism promotion associations and local authorities.
