Bucharest 1st District Schools Benefit From ‘After School’ Ed Progr
Early March, Romanian Education Minister Ecaterina Andronescu said Romania’s state-paid “milk and bun” program, granting free milk and pastry products to pupils in public schools, could be replaced as of this fall with the “After-school” program.
She said the “After-school” program, which will include one hot meal for pupils and homework done under teacher’s supervision, will be implemented first in the schools that have the required space.
The program could be funded by redirecting the money spent for the “Milk and Bun” program, Andronescu said.
