Vehicle Carrying Valuables Attacked In N Romania

Several people attacked a vehicle carrying valuables, Tuesday morning, in an isolated area in the Gutai mountain pass, northern Romania, stole the guns of the people securing the transport and managed to make off with reportedly 100,000 lei in cash (EUR1=RON4.2747).

The incident was reported at emergency call 112, around 7:40 a.m., by one of the employees of the company that owns the vehicle.

Raluca Seucan, spokesperson of the Romanian General Police Inspectorate, said the perpetrators managed to scoop up several valuable items after they locked the people securing the transport in the car. Seucan added, however, that nobody was hurt.

Seucan also said that several police squads were sent in the area to investigate the case.
