The flight will operate four times per week. Air France clients can opt for a direct Bucharest-New York flight or one that stops in Paris.
The two airliners agreed to operate on this route after in October 2007 they signed a partnership deal. The agreement will cover all transatlantic flights between the airports operated by Air France and Delta Airlines, as well as all flights operated by any of the two companies between London’s Heathrow airport and the US.
Delta Airlines will operate the Bucharest flight with a Boeing 767-300 and tickets will be sold by both the American airliner as well as the French one.
On occasion of inaugurating the route, Air France launched a special offer with the price of a ticket at the economic class of 527 euros, all fees included, between March 10 and March 15.
Air France currently operates five daily flights on Bucharest-Paris route.
