This tri-party agreement will turn Romania into an important energy hub in Europe, Economy Ministry secretary of state Tudor Serban said Thursday.

Serban said the LNG terminals will transport between three and eight billion cubic meters of gas.

The project will be developed by a private company formed by the Romanian gas producer Romgaz Medias, Azeri oil company SOCAR, a Georgian oil company as well as a consortium made of various companies and financial institutions.
