Number Portability Tariffs In Romania Set At EUR11/13

Starting Tuesday, Oct 21, any user will be able to switch to a new telecom operator and keep the old number, within ten days at most upon submitting a written notification to the current operator.

Vodafone Romania official Mihai Tarniceanu said Vodafone will cover all portability costs until the end of the year for users wishing to switch to its network.

The officials of other telecom operators said the number portability measure would trigger a fiercer competition on the market, stressing, however, they are optimistic about the impact on client portfolio.
