Romanian Overdue Loans Up 20.5% M-M In Feb

Overdue foreign currency loans rose 25.6% on the month to RON1.83 billion.

Overdue loans in Romanian leu rose 17.4% on the month in February to RON2.42 billion.

The total amount of loans in local currency at the end of February was at RON83.861 billion, slightly lower compared with RON83.868 at the end of Janaury.

Loans in foreign currency at the end of February totaled RON124.06 billion, slightly up from RON123.57 billion at the end of Janaury.

A larger part of the loans in local currency were granted to companies, while the majority of foreign-currency loans were granted to households.
