Democrat liberals and Hungarians in the country’s ruling coalition convened mid-January to hold talks and share top-level positions within government-run agencies.
Tarom is currently run by Ruxandra Brutaru, daughter of Tarom’s former general manager Nicolae Brutaru.
Tarom is 96.7% owned by the country’s Transport Ministry, and the remaining stake is distributed among regional investment fund SIF Muntenia, Otopeni international airport company and Romania’s Air Traffic Services Administration ROMATSA.
