Romania Healthcare System Wages Could Reach RON6,900/Mo – Draft Law

Romanian physicians and auxiliary personnel could earn, under the coming single and unitary salary law in the public system, between 1,200 lei (EUR1-RON4.2317) and RON6,900 a month.

According to the latest draft of the unitary pay law obtained by Mediafax on Thursday, the basic monthly salaries of hospital managers will range between RON6,600 and RON6,900 for hospitals with over 400 beds, while medical directors will earn between RON6,540 and RON6,570.
 
For hospitals with less than 400 beds, monthly salaries drop slightly to between RON6,300 and RON6,450 for general managers, while medical directors will be paid between RON6,150 and RON6,300.
 
Resident first year physicians will make RON3,300 a month, with the figure reaching up to RON4,350 a month in the last year of residency. Interns will earn RON1,830 a month.
 
At the opposite end, the auxiliary staff (nurses and ambulance drivers) will earn between RON1,200 and RON1,770 a month.
