The Gara de Nord voting station had only two voting booths, leading to a long line outside, with some people complaining they had been waiting for two hours.

Eligible voters who are away from the location where they are registered on election day of the poll may vote in special polling stations set up in train stations and airports across the country. It is widely speculated that such stations are the main tool in election fraud.

Around 12,000 people go through Gara de Nord on a normal day, but this weekend the figure is expected to rise dramatically.
