Flooding has hindered public transport in the city and five trams were stuck Thursday morning for about an hour because the track was under water. Some bus lines have been detoured because of cars parked on the street.

The head of the public service said the city’s water and sewage service provider has been called to help clear the streets of water. He also said problems in public transportation are expected to occur throughout the day.

Over 80 car accidents occurred in Bucharest over the past 24 hours, since it started raining and the snow started melting. Five people were slightly injured and one was seriously injured in these crashes.
