Romanian Transport Minister Sacks Public Road Authority Head
According to the press release, Tiron will be temporarily replaced by CNADNR highway project manager Liviu Costache.
The ministry said preliminary results of checkups carried out at CNADNR on September 7 revealed management problems and problems regarding the company’s relations with road constructors and consultancy firms.
The ministry will also check all activities carried out by CNADNR over the past years.
Boagiu said Tiron’s dismissal is a major step towards reorganizing the road company and improving the management of road infrastructure EU funds granted to Romania.
