The Romanian Health Ministry put up for public debate a draft Government decision regarding the 2010 national health programs. The draft law sets the means of ensuring medicines and medical supplies within national health programs.
According to the draft law, medicines for ambulatory cancer patients included into health programs will be available starting July 1 in closed circuit pharmacies belonging to the healthcare units involved in the program.
The draft law stipulates the temporary lodging contracts signed between public health departments and family doctors will be extended until the end of the year.
The draft law also includes new prevention and treatment health programs for patient suffering from tuberculosis or heart problems. The new programs will be financed from the Health Ministry’s budget.
The draft law will be available for public debate until April 21.
