"Dacia employees will get the money upfront. In fact, the money should have been paid in August, but, since the plant will undergo general overhauling starting August 3, the company’s management decided to grant vacation bonuses before this date," Dacia officials said Tuesday.
Dacia allocated total funds worth RON11.45 million (EUR2.7 million) to pay these bonuses, of which, nearly EUR700,000 cover taxes to the state budget.
Vacation bonuses are part of the salary package negotiated within the 2009 collective labor contract.
