Romania’s Sept Net Salary Up 1.5% M-M To RON1.296

The net salary in September increased compared with August when employees were given bonuses and incentives, including summer holiday bonuses, negotiated their wages, and when a higher output was reported.

In nominal terms, the salary was RON19 higher compared with RON1,277 in August.

In real terms, wages were 1.3% higher on the month, but 123.3% higher than in October 1990.

Workers in the hydrocarbon extraction and connected services saw the biggest average net salaries of RON3.380, while employees in the garments manufacturing industry were at the opposite pole with RON740.

September net average salary in agriculture was down 0.9% on the month to RON889.

Net salaries in the industrial field averaged RON1.243 in September, up 3.6% from August salary.

In the energy field, average net salaries in September were RON1,956, 0.1% lower than in August.

On year in September, the average net salary in Romania rose 16.1% in real terms.
