The Court of Appeals decided FRF’s claim was groundless.
The decision may be appealed to the Supreme Court.
In December last year, FRF won a court action against the Romanian Lottery to recover 20% of the Lottery’s revenues from sport, in accordance with the Law 69/2000.
Under the mentioned law, FRF is to receive 20% annually of the Lottery’s revenues from sports bets.
The lottery paid the federation part of the money owed for the interval 2003-2005, but FRF had still to receive some 18 million lei (EUR1-RON3,7685).
FRF had authorities to foreclose the Lottery to recover the remaining debt.
