Appathurai told a news conference that final discussions regarding NATO enlargement will take place Thursday and “currently there is unity for two nations to join NATO”.
Greece is pledging to veto Macedonia’s bid, as the country has a northern region also called Macedonia.

Appathurai added there will be no consensus until Macedonia’s name issue is cleared. Moreover, name-related discussions are not ion the NATO framework, and declined to comment further.
