The Espacio Niram bar and lounge in Madrid will host, until December 18, the expo series called “Primer Ciclo del Artista Rumanol,” which aims to showcase the works of young Romanian artists living in Spain.

“Rumanol” is a term used to define the cultural and social merger between the Romanian background and the Spanish influence of these youths, as their work represents a testimony to this union.

Each Thursday there will be a contemporary Romanian art expo, at Espacio Niram, which was recently opened in central Madrid by Romanian born plastic artist Romeo Niram.

The location aims to bring contemporary art to a young audience, through its bar and lounge, interior decoration, created by the plastic artists Bogdan Ater and Romeo Niram, as well as through the “Nicole Blanco” art gallery.

The first expo, signed by Maria Chirila, is called “Un Enano dentro de mi Oreja” (A dwarf in my year t.n.).

The artist’s work clearly shows Spanish influence, as she, herself, confessed that the immersion into a new cultural dimension boosted her creative force and opened new horizons of artistic expression for her.

The gallery will be officially opened Thursday, at 21.00 local time.
