Doroftei will sign the required documentation later this Friday, on his 39th birthday.

He said the boxing school will be named after the Romanian champion.
Born in Ploiesti, Doroftei was the WBA lightweight world champion from January 5, 2002 to October 24, 2003.
On October 24, 2003, Doroftei was to defend his title against Panamanian Miguel Callist, but the fight was cancelled because Doroftei’s weight exceeded the maximum weight allowed at the lightweight category.
