Romania’s May Net Salary Dn 2.7% M-M To RON1.248

The net salary in May was down on the month as in April employees were given Easter holiday bonuses and a higher output was reported.

Brokers saw the biggest average net salaries of RON3.636, while employees in the wood processing industry, except for furniture making, were at the opposite pole with RON697.

May net average salary in agriculture was down 2.6% on the month to RON852.

The employees in the tobacco manufacturing products saw a 7.3% salary hike on the month in May, at RON2.499.

Net salaries in the industrial field averaged RON1.160 in May, down 4.3% from April salary.

The average net salary in Romania rose 23.3% on year in May.
