The company will be subordinated to the privatization authority and the government officials are expected to select a consultant to list the new company on the Bucharest bourse, Atanasiu said.
He said the national energetic company will not include the energy power plant in Craiova, which will be floated on the bourse in 2008.
The energy company will include 40-50% of Romania’s production capacities and the non-privatized distribution units.
The new company is seen making investments of EUR1 billion in the first year.
Economy and Finance Minister Varujan Vosganian said that the new company will be established according to law by Easter Holidays.
