“The Romanian liberals will conduct the European campaign “United Against Cancer!” The decision was made during the meeting of the Political Bureau of the National Liberal Party, or PNL, on November 12, 2007. This campaign once again proves that PNL sees Romanians’ health as a national and strategic priority,” Nicolaescu said Sunday in a press conference.
“This campaign aims to provide equal sums of money for all people suffering from cancer, no matter the EU state they come from. This campaign was initiated by sixty MEPs who joined their forces into the Coalition fighting cancer. However, the coalition’s target could not be fulfilled, namely to determine EU states to invest in health policies against cancer,” the minister added.
Nicolaescu stressed that PNL aims to collect 1,000,000 signatures in the next seven months, until June 30, 2008.
