The official added no cases of disease have been registered.

The Health Ministry started delivering Monday vaccines against hepatitis A and tetanus, as well as sanitary materials and disinfectants to areas affected by recent floods.

Sanitary authorities took measures to prevent any epidemics and tested drinking water in affected areas. People were advised to drink bottled water, or boil drinking water before use, be very careful with personal hygiene and food storage conditions and to avoid self-medication.

Local doctors will report immediately on any cases of cholera, typhoid, hepatitis, disinter or small pox.
