The head of state is expected to arrive in Buruienesti, Neamt, at 1.30 p.m.. Following Siret overflows early July, hundreds of homes in Buruienesti have been flooded and over 3,000 people have been evacuated.
According to authorities, the level of the Siret river is expected to decrease and there is no flood risk at the moment.
Romania has been severely hit by floods over the past two weeks, leaving 23 dead and about 18,000 evacuated and hundreds of homes, roads, farmland and pastures damaged.
