“Richard Moat has been on the Orange team for 17 years. He has held important international positions and played a special part in transforming Orange into a global business. Since taking up the position of CEO in September 2004, Richard Moat has made the company’s income grow from EUR624 million to EUR1.31 billion in 2008 and become the leader of the local market,” the mobile operator said in a press release.
Millet has been the commercial director of Orange Romania since October 2005 and has led the client service, marketing and sales departments. Millet has 20 years experience in the Orange-France Telecom group and has held several top international positions.
Mobile operator Orange Romania, part of France Telecom group, is the leader of the local mobile communications market and its main competitor is Vodafone Romania, the local branch of British group Vodafone.
Orange Romania has over 10 million clients and has developed a network of 102 stores throughout the country.
At the end of December 2008, Orange Romania’s revenues stood at EUR1.31 billion, up 6.2% compared to the end of 2007.
