Romanian Liberals Most Likely To Form Next Govt Together With Social Democrats – VP

Romania’s liberal party will most likely form an alliance with the current leftist opposition Social Democratic Party, or PSD, after the upcoming elections, liberal deputy president, Crin Antonescu, said Sunday.

Antonescu said in an interview for Mediafax that the liberals should rule on their own, but given there are slim chances for a party to form a government by itself, the liberals will “most likely” rule together with PSD.
 
Antonescu said he would prefer if the liberals ruled together with the Democratic Liberal Party instead.
 
He said the liberals will obtain over 20% of the votes at the elections due on November 30.
