"These are matters involved in permanent education. In the law pack (of the Presidential Committee) there is a statement that each child will receive an account of EUR500 at birth. We support this view, but it all depends on the Ministry of Finance," Andronescu said, at the end of talks with Mircea Miclea.

Andronescu added she agreed with another proposition made by Miclea, namely the tax exemption of profits reinvested in education and, also, they have agreed on the manner in which school management is appointed.

"We have agreed on the fact that school management can be appointed by contest on an Administration Council level, and if the principal is a party member, then the political position is to be suspended," Andronescu added.

The dignitary also said this measure targets principals alone, not school inspectors.

In addition, the education minister said the education system is ready for the introduction of the PISA system for the evaluation of high school children.

Regarding tenurial exams, Andronescu said the involves one year of internship by graduates, after which tenurial exams are held.
