The exhibition is the project of MEPs Zsolt Becsey and Konya-Hamar Sandor. The Parliament hosts the exhibition until December 20.
The event is hosted by MEPs militating for the protection of the environment and cultural heritage in Rosia Montana, western Romania.
Europe is in favor of the cause, as the European Commission recommends banning the use of cyanide in mining and the European Parliament is currently collecting signatures in this respect.
The exhibition material was compiled by the Middleurope Club association, using photographs by Erno Hornok, Tibor Kocsis and Andrss Szasz.
