Romania Lower Chamber Headship Oks Setup Of Sub-Commission On Human Dignity

Romania’s Chamber of Deputies headship on Monday approved the setting up of a sub-commission on human dignity that will keep charge of legislative propositions meant to enhance observance of human rights and will tackle problems regarding the observance of civil rights.

Chamber secretary Dumitru Pardau said the future sub-commission will operate within the commission on human rights, religious cults and minorities.

The human rights commission proposed the setting up of the sub-commission to oversee the enforcement of regulations on citizens’ fundamental rights and liberties and tackle problems regarding the observance of civil rights.

The future sub-commission will be run by Marius Cristinel Dugulescu and its members will include Nicolae Paun, Sergiu Andon, Attila Varga, Florin Postolachi, Mircea Lubanovici and Lucian Rivis-Tipei.
