Romanian Nationalist Parties Didn’t Make Parliament By Results From 71.06% Polling Stations

Romania’s far-right Greater Romania party and the Christian Democrat New Generation Party failed to secure at least 5% of votes countrywide to get seats in the future Parliament, according to results centralized for 71.06 polling stations at GMT 0600.

The ballots counted by that time by the Central Election Office from 12,866 polling stations out of a total 18,104, the Greater Romania Party gained only 3.27% (158,655 ballots) of the votes for the Chamber of Deputies and 3.67% (178,139 ballots) for Senate.
 
According to the same partial results, football mogul Gigi Becali’s New Generation Party gained 2.38% of the votes for the Chamber of Deputies (115,649 ballots) and 2.64% for Senate (128,246 ballots).
 
Other parties that didn’t make Parliament are the Green Party with 0.29% for the Chamber and 0.70% for Senate, the People’s Party with 0.11% for the Chamber and 0.14% for Senate, the Romanian Socialist Party with 0.01% for the Chamber and no votes for Senate, and the National Democratic Party which got no votes for the Chamber and 0.001 for Senate.
 
The European Romania Party gained 87 votes for the Chamber of Deputies.
