According to the same sources, people whose pensions exceed this threshold  will not benefit from cumulated pensions and wages, official sources said.
The threshold of nearly RON1,700 allowing the cumulation of pensions with  salaries in the public sector is the equivalent of an average gross wage. 
 
According to the country’s Prognosis Commission CNP, the average gross wage  is seen at RON1,693 in 2009 and RON1832 in 2010.
 
Romanian Prime Minister’s adviser on social matters, Mihai Seitan, told  MEDIAFAX on March 19 that The ceiling equal to the average gross wage which bans  cumulating pensions and salaries in the public sector will not be applicable to  people appointed to public offices, namely, people appointed by the president to  the Constitutional Court or those appointed by the Parliament as secretary  generals.
