The bomb was lifted with the aid of a crane and taken into a bunker, where it is to be detonated, said Ramona Nistor, spokesperson for the local emergency inspectorate.
Naval traffic was halted in the area earlier Saturday, as firefighters worked to lift an active aviation bomb caught under a cement-loaded barge, and which could have gone off at any time.
According to the head of the local emergency inspectorate, colonel Marin Apa, the bomb was found at the anchor of a barge. He said the aviation bomb weighed 250 kilograms and was active.
