Zoltan Csanyi said the investigation in this case is ongoing, but he did not wish to offer further information.
Marian Cozma was stabbed to death on February 8 in the Patriota club of Hungarian town Veszprem. The altercation also involved another two team mates of Cozma’s, Serbian Zarko Sesum and Croatian Ivan Pesic, who were severely injured. The 26-year old Romanian handball player was stabbed in the heart and was the only one killed in the brawl.
Initially, Hungarian authorities issued international arrest warrants against three suspects, and two of them, Gyozo Nemeth and Sandor Raffael, were detained, in less than 24 hours since the killing, in Austria. The two were later extradited. A third suspect, Sztojka Ivan, surrendered on February 13, an Hungarian police later announced it has arrested another two suspects, Gabor P. and Csaba B.
