Speaking at a news conference, Voineagu said the economy was driven by industry and net exports in 2009, as imports fell at a faster pace than exports.
Industrial output contributed by 23.8% to the GDP last year, up from 22.9% in 2008.
However, the contribution of constructions and trade sectors decreased by 13.6% and 11.2% on the year, respectively.
Romania’s economy declined by 7.1% in 2009, from a growth of 7.1% a year earlier.
