The anticorruption prosecutors heard Badea for two hours. However, Badea declined to make any comments on his hearing.
Prosecutors are conducting an investigation concerning the transfers of football players during 1990-2007. Prosecutors must find out whether the sum registered in footballers’ transfer contracts are the same as the sums registered by foreign football clubs involved in such transfers.
Prosecutors also heard Cristian Borcea – general manager of FC Dinamo, Mihai Stoica – former general manager of FC Steaua and acting president of FC Unirea Urziceni, Gigi Becali – FC Steaua owner and George Copos – FC Rapid owner.
