The Romanian car plant at Mioveni will make cars for all these markets, under the Dacia and Renault brands. The factory, with a current output of 350,000 cars per year, will continue to make the other Dacia models as well.
„The Duster expansion will continue in 2011 as well. In the countries of the Persian Gulf the model will be available under the Renault brand come 2011, and the cars will be made at the Mioveni plant. Duster will also be made in Brazil and Russia, starting with 2011,” according to a press release issued by Automobile Dacia.
Dacia Duster will be available in the versions 4X2 and 4X4, with one 1.6 cylinder capacity and 110 hp gasoline engine as well as two diesel engines – one with 1.5 cylinder capacity 85 hp, and one with 1.5 cylinder capacity and 105 hp.
The model will have low fuel consumption, according to the constructor, namely the diesel cars will emit less than 140g CO2/km for the 4X2 version and less than 150g CO2/km for the 4X4 version.
The car comes with a three-year or 100,000-kilometer guarantee.
The is the sixth model in the Dacia range, after Sandero, Logan, Logan MCV and the utility vehicles Logan VAN and Logan Pick-Up.
