Romania Leu Slips Vs Euro, Exch Rate Hits 11-Wk Low At 4.1425

A weaker rate, of 4.144 per euro, was set on January 21.

Against the US dollar, the leu’s indicative lost 0.5% on the day at 3.0528 units.

The leu opened flat on the day at 4.128/4.13 versus the euro, but started to retreat shortly after, in line with the currencies in the region.

At around GMT1000, the leu traded at 4.1405/4.143 to the euro, after hitting an intraday low at 4.1435 units.

On the money market Tuesday, overnight rates rose slightly to 2.4%-2.9% a year.
