The first deadline of the appeal was set for February 7, 2008. Mid December, the courthouse of Bucharest’s district 5 sentenced Imran to seven years in prison for involuntary manslaughter.

The British citizen was found guilty of causing the accident that led to the death of Romanian film director Cristian Nemescu, sound engineer Andrei Toncu and taxi driver Dumitru Arustei on the night of August 26, 2006.

The three victims were driving in a taxi when a Porsche Cayenne, driven by Imran, ignored the red light of the semaphore and crashed right into them.
