Bucharest Breaks World Record For Longest Sausage

Romania’s capital city Bucharest has made it to the Guinness Book of World Records on Saturday with the world’s longest sausage, of 392 meters.

Guinness Book representative, Talal Omar confirmed the record and presented the certificate to city mayor Sorin Oprescu.

“The world’s longest sausage” was cooked using over 70 kilograms of meat, bacon, spice, garlic and secret ingredients based on a recipe owned by Caroli food producer.

Last week, Bucharest broke the record for the biggest-ever Christmas give-away, after 3,939 Santas paraded through the city handing out gifts.

Tomorrow, December 28, Bucharest officials plan to break another record, for the world’s biggest cake.

The cream and fruit cake will have to weight over 200 kilograms to set a new record in the Guinness Book.

Just like in the case of the world’s longest sausage, the huge cake will afterward be served to the people at the event.
