"I want to announce to you that we have purchased, for Victor Babeş Hospital, the device that allows a much faster speed of testing, a system of automatic extraction of three nucleic acids. Also, through ASSMB, we have completed the acquisition of two PCR devices molecular diagnosis of COVID-19 infection and we also carry out, throughout this period, emergency purchases for sanitary materials, protective equipment and disinfectants, at the request of our hospitals, which are 19", mayor Gabriela Firea said.
The mayor of Bucharest has announced that she will call the embassies of other states in order to get support for hospitals in the capital. "Today we have sent letters requesting support to the US, German, Chinese, Israeli and Austrian embassies, who, in turn, send these letters to the mayors of the respective state capitals, in order to request the necessary support during this period for the 19 hospitals in Bucharest, considering that the largest number of patients are in the Romanian capital".
