Bucharest’s Baneasa Airport Auctions Off EUR3.17M Safety Area Layout Works

Bucharest international airport Aurel Vlaicu (Baneasa) will hold an auction for the layout of the safety area near the runway, a contract estimated at 3.17 million lei (EUR1=RON4.2459), VAT excluded.

"The frame agreement for public procurement will be concluded over 24 months starting with the date of contract signing (...). The estimated value of works to be contracted ranges from RON2,150,235 to RON3,170,115 (VAT excluded), financed from the company's own funds," the Transport Ministry said in a press release Wednesday.

The attribution criterion will consider the lowest price and the bids will be open on December 22.

The Baneasa airport is 80% controlled by the Ministry of Transport and 20% by investment fund Fondul Proprietatea.
