Bucharest Unemployment Rate At 1.7% End January

Over 18,000 people in Bucharest were registered as jobless at the end of January, which translates into an unemployment rate of 1.7%, the local employment agency said Wednesday.

According to the agency, 18,340 people were unemployed in the Romanian capital city, of which 10,572 were women.

According to the employment agency, Bucharest’s active population totals 1,080,600 people.
