Romanian President, IMF Mission Attend Talks On ’09 Budget

Asked about his presence at the meeting between the Government and the social partners on the 2009 budget draft, Basescu said he did not come to negotiate.

At the Finance Ministry, the Cabinet is discussing this year’s state budget with trade union and employers’ association representatives.

The IMF mission in Romania is also attending the negotiations.
